Trumpet Concerto in Eb by Johann Neruda is a celebrated classical concerto and an important work in the trumpet repertoire. This carefully prepared edition, edited by renowned trumpeter John Wallace, includes solo trumpet parts in both Eb and Bb, together with a piano reduction for accompaniment.

Originally written in the eighteenth century, Neruda's concerto is admired for its elegant melodies, lively passages and expressive musical character. Its combination of technical demands and lyrical writing makes it a rewarding work for advanced trumpet players, offering opportunities to develop both virtuosity and musical interpretation.

For this edition, John Wallace has returned to the original manuscript parts to produce an accurate and accessible printed version. Particular attention has been given to the concerto's unusually notated appoggiaturas, which can often cause confusion for performers. These ornaments are presented in clear, straightforward notation, helping players to understand and interpret the composer's intentions.

The inclusion of separate Eb and Bb trumpet parts provides flexibility for performers, while the accompanying piano reduction makes this edition suitable for individual study, rehearsals, recitals and concert performances.
