Easy Peasy Tunes

Easy Peasy Tunes, compiled by Dave Mallinson, is a collection of 101 simple and enjoyable tunes specially selected for beginners and novice musicians who want to build their repertoire and start enjoying their instrument from an early stage.

One of the challenges when learning an instrument is finding enough accessible music to maintain interest and make practice enjoyable. Rather than repeatedly playing the same handful of pieces, this collection provides a wide variety of approachable melodies that allow players to develop their skills while steadily expanding the number of tunes they can play.

All 101 tunes can be played using a range of just 14 notes and are suitable for a wide variety of melody instruments. Music is presented in treble clef with chord symbols, making the collection particularly useful for instruments such as violin, flute, recorder, saxophone, guitar, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, horn and other treble-clef instruments.

The tunes have been chosen to be straightforward enough for developing players while still being enjoyable music in their own right, providing a practical repertoire that can continue to be played as confidence and ability grow.

A separately available accompaniment CD features all 101 tunes played by Dave Mallinson on melodeon, accompanied by Alistair Russell on guitar. The CD is not included with this book.
