All Jazzed Up for Trumpet Book/CD by Chris Wilson-Smith is an entertaining collection of nine varied and well-known pieces for trumpet, featuring jazz standards and popular melodies from the 1940s through to the 1980s. Suitable for easy to intermediate level players, the collection combines familiar tunes with lively rhythms and jazz-inspired arrangements, making it ideal for developing trumpet players.

The arrangements have been carefully written with comfortable note ranges to suit younger and developing players, helping to build embouchure strength, rhythmic confidence and musical expression. Familiar melodies such as The Pink Panther Theme and O Sole Mio offer opportunities to develop phrasing, breath control and articulation, while jazz standards and lively popular numbers encourage rhythmic awareness and note recognition. Chord symbols are provided in the accompaniment part for additional ensemble possibilities.

The accompanying CD and free MP3 download contain both a complete performance and a play-along backing track for each piece, allowing students to listen to the music and practise with accompaniment even when other musicians are unavailable.
